Hall of fame nominees

Here’s my top three tweets that I’d nominate for an award and why!

I always pick this as a favorite of mine. It was one of my first viral tweets, a little shady, but a perfect example of combining a trendy format with a trendy subject and seeing instant success.

Engagement posts can get a little tedious, but I’ve always enjoyed asking fans about themselves and trying to incite silly exchanges. I think the format being popular helped propel this one, but the conversations it sparked were gold. My only ragret is … the typo.

Pretty self-explanatory. These things are so easy to do, generate decent engagement on otherwise blander “must do” posts, and can really range from cocky to just happy to be here”.

#goals

Here are three of my favorite tweets from other organizations. While I know definitively that this NOT the best tweets I’ve seen, they’re all from voices and brands I love and flex a variety of different social strats.

Zach and the whole team at Sentinels always hit the nail on the head. Hits their exact audience while being extremely shareable at the same time. Definitely a goal of mine.

I miss being in SMITE! This account always made you feel like you had a hilarious friend in your groupchat watching the matches alongside you. You kinda want to laugh even though you have no context, right?

One thing I admire about Alpine’s team is that they not only have the memes and wit, but they post these small, bite-sized frag reel movies on the timeline. No reason to leave the app, but really cool content that highlights their creatives AND players/talent. Adds to their overall “chill” vibe as well.

so about soar …

Some examples of memes I think I can bring to the table …

Rethinking my decisions here, but formats like this spread around all corners of the internet in all different forms. Can be used on a huge scale like this or just for your players/influencers. Either way it drums up conversation usually.

For the record, my pancakes look way better than this.

I think anything can be a meme, honestly. While I like to prowl and keep an eye out for the grassroots one, sometimes a critically placed image you found yourself works just as well.

I think we’ve all had a W like this, right?

Certainly already done, but a banger nonetheless! The key is catching the meme economy at the right time …
